Both of my two children have been or currently are a student of Kathleen's.  She took my daughter as a budding violinist at the age of 6 and gave her a solid foundation for 2 years before finding her the perfect violin teacher that she is currently with.  She then started to instruct my reluctant son and taught him piano, music theory and to love the piano.  She is amazing and works with your child and their abilities.  She is patient, caring, funny and has an intuitive sense of what your child can do and nurtures that.  She pushes them to work harder because they can and her belief in them gives them the boast they sometimes need to progress.  She currently teaches my daughter in chamber music and how not only to play an instrument, but how to play with others.  That is a whole new set of skills that she teaches with great knowledge and understanding.  She is also still teaching my son piano, with the Cantina song being the favorite right now.
